Business Development Director - Medical Device

About the position:


Reporting to: SVP


Role:

· Identify and explore relevant business opportunities for the company, such as: M&A, OEM agreements, distribution agreements, innovative business models and strategic partnerships

· Lead, manage and close deals and pursue the activity up to a handshake with the business units or any other relevant unit

· Extensive analysis and mapping of the relevant landscape; Identifying targets and ideas, by researching industry and related events, competitors’ announcements and publications, trade shows, informal meetings and extensive traveling and visiting the field

· Role involves tight interaction with BU Heads, management team, BOD members, as well as C-levels in other companies. High level presentation skills are required

· Travels to visit customers, vendors, regional company teams, potential partners, etc.

Requirements:

· ‘Deal closer’

· Collective experience of 5-6 years within the following environments:

o Leading strategic consulting firm

o Leading investment banking firm (with emphasis on M&A)

o Similar business development role in a global company

o Venture Capital

· M&A experience, from search to deal closing

· Experience in high tech companies – advantage
